A City Exhales

A great start, a big hit and some fortunes maybe turning led to the first Royals win in over a week.

Sometimes, you can feel a shift. Maybe it’s a soft single or a big home run or just a run of the middle hit with a runner in scoring position to drive in a run. In this game, it was kind of all of them, but you truly can feel it sometimes. I know the numbers don’t back up momentum or vibes or whatever, but I think there is an energy in the world that changes. That might be the most out-there thing you’ll see me write here in this newsletter, but it’s something I can’t help but believe. And last night, I felt that shift.
