I’m going to level with you. There isn’t much to say about last night’s game that hasn’t already been said. I’ll get to a couple interesting points in a minute and maybe even some reason for tepid optimism. But first, as I always do on Fridays, I want to direct you to this week’s Kauffman Corner.
You can catch us every Thursday morning at 8:30 central if you want to join the conversation or you can watch it later either here or on YouTube and you can also listen wherever you get your podcasts. It’s always a good time and to have a former player’s perspective is really fun. One of the things I’ve learned over the years from being in the clubhouse periodically and now getting to chat with Les every week is just a reminder that these are human beings. I think we often expect players to be robots who perform on command, but a slump can really cause a lot of different things that go well beyond mechanics and swing decisions. Anyway, I hope you’ll watch or listen because we really have a great time doing it.
Okay, now let’s talk about last night’s game, but I don’t have as much to say as I normally do. Plus, my internet was out (love you Spectrum!) so I didn’t have my usual writing time after the game. I am going to get into something with Vinnie Pasquantino toward the end, though, so you’ll definitely want to stick around (or subscribe if you’re not a paid subscriber!).
