How Good is the Royals Pitching?

Even with a rocky start for the bullpen, the Royals pitching staff has been nails and kept them in every game.

After 10 games, the Royals have a 6-4 record that is largely on the backs of their pitching staff. They’ve scored more than five runs twice and more than four runs just three times. But the staff has done a great job of keeping the team in games late and giving them a chance to win. Overall, they have a 2.53 ERA with a 3.16 FIP. While I think FIP is an extremely flawed statistic, it does at least provide a window into the idea that the staff not only has great results but also peripherals to match.
