Just A Great Day

It isn't every day the Royals can win two and see every single one of their closest competition lose at least one themselves.

Two wins for the Royals.

Two losses for the Guardians.

Two losses for the Red Sox.

One loss for the Twins.

Nothing about yesterday could have gone any better for the Royals. In the span of eight hours and five minutes, things went from the sky falling for the Royals in the eyes of many to them in a spot where the playoff odds jumped to nearly 90 percent (at least according to Fangraphs). They took care of their own business with their doubleheader sweep of the Guardians, who have now inexplicably been swept in all four doubleheaders they’ve played this season.
