Marsh and Timely Hits Fuel the Royals
It's a formula that the Royals used in their brief glory days and one that made a comeback last night.
The Royals are now one full turn through their five-man rotation and the results couldn’t be a whole lot better. Alec Marsh was fantastic last night in the Royals 4-1 win over the Orioles, going seven innings with just one run allowed and only one walk and it’s reasonable to say it was just the third best start of the first time through. This is how the Royals are going to win games, and I’d wager it’s exactly how the front office pictured them finding a way to the top of the division if they were going to get there. Now, they’re just 2-3 and it’s only five games, but it’s nice to see the formula work.
