Searching the Trade Market

Your monthly update of what the trade market can provide for the Royals and their needs, which aren't huge, but are prevalent.

When I first wrote about players the Royals could look to target in a trade in April, I’d say it was more hopeful that they’d be buyers at the deadline. A month or so later, it was far more realistic, but it still needed some things to happen. Here we are in mid-June and the Royals have finished the most challenging part of their schedule and still find themselves currently in a playoff spot. While their odds have dipped some with the Twins getting hot again, they’re in a great spot, particularly if they add a little bit.

So as I’ve done twice now and will likely do once more unless the Royals strike early, I’m going to look at players the Royals can and probably should be targeting over the next six weeks leading up to the deadline on July 30 at 5pm CDT.
