Emmanuel Rivera is really good at playing third base, isn't he? He obviously needs to do more with his bat, but it's fun seeing him make plays with his glove.
He’s interesting because it seems like he’s really solid over there and then you look at the metrics and they just don’t agree. Now, defensive metrics are notoriously finicky in a small sample, but I’m curious to see which side wins. The eye test looks pretty good, so I’m hopeful that it’s correct and not the numbers.
Is it terrible that I’m annoyed with a 4-4 day with Santana because now the REALLY WILL believe they can get something from him and block Vinny from coming up until the deadline? It’s not the same situation as Soler just because of the age difference. Glad to see the bats heating up a bit. It’s just a much more enjoyable product to watch even if the pitching struggles.
Not terrible at all. I totally get it. But I'm also not entirely sure that it would matter too much. If Santana was on the bench (and Dozier was healthy enough to play, I'm curious if there's a roster move on that today), I don't know that they'd bring up Vinnie right now anyway, so I don't think it makes a huge difference. If anything, him hitting makes it at least somewhat likely they can get anything for him and maybe brings us a little closer to Pasquantino. I don't know if that's true because they're so nonsensical that I can't connect the dots with them all that easily.

Please tell me we have to face Jacob Junis against the Giants. I want to see first hand what he has become.
As of right now, he's scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. That could obviously change with any postponements for them between now and then.
