100% agree. At least Bubic was able to make it out of the first and log some innings. Two in a row would have been pretty tough on the bullpen. Balanos looked spectacular.....

Gutierrez will set some sort of record for hitting into double plays if he ever is a starter. It was what, 2-3 years ago that he was trying to fix his launch angle. Shame, cause he is outstanding defensively and hits the ball hard- into the ground.
Also as far as the Cal Eldred situation...... Matheny is a former catcher. He shares in whatever failure there is to make adjustments. He is going down too if these talented pitchers all fall on their face.
I refuse to believe that methany made the decision to throw these young adult pitcher to the wolves. It has to be Dayton Moore who is ordering Methany to do it. These you adults may never regain their confidence. So it’s yet another deplorable year ahead.
