You are so right about that time both slowing and speeding up thing! And babies develop amazingly fast in their first few months--especially when you seem to be with them 24/7.
I know its just a theory you had. But I hadn’t really considered a possible struggle within the front office. Just seem so early for that with JJ running the show now but It certainly makes some sense. At the same time, why would Sherman go with JJ if he didn’t fully believe in him. Sherman could absolutely not be seeing the roster churn he talked about at the presser and stepping in though. The whole thing is such a head scratcher and amateur that I think you are on to something with some sort of struggle. Willing to give JJ a chance and the non roster items have been really good, but the craziness of the O’Hearn thing isn’t giving a whole lot of confidence on the roster management side yet.
There are a handful of possibilities to why this is happening based on little things I’ve heard here and there but haven’t really nailed anything down so I’ll leave it vague, which I know isn’t great. I think there are some reasons that make sense, though. So I don’t think it’s necessarily anything to worry about with the organization. It’s just…odd.
It really is odd. I keep thinking about how I’d go to the owner and explain how you paid someone 1.4m three weeks ago and are now moving on from him. I know it isn’t the money that is a big deal within the game right now. But in the matter of 20 days…you decided he was going to be the second casualty off the roster after guaranteeing his contract. A power struggle is afoot, detective Lesky is on the case! I just don’t want it to be the Royals doing O’Hearn a solid after the year and knowing they were going to do this the whole time. That’s really want I don’t want it to be. I’m tired of the boys club with them and if that continues I’m ready to move on from JJ. But its a new year, they eventually got to right answer. I’ll just take that for now. Happy new year!
At least the Royals aren't _________. However, there are only a few teams you can put into that blank. Oh well. It seems like the Royals have recently had, and now have, at least good people in management and especially on the field. These are players I can root for even though they lose more than they win.
I think the important thing is they got the poison out of the organization. That was the first step and might make a bigger difference than any other move they can make, though I think we all wish they were making more moves.
Do you know of an article that breaks down the revenue sharing process of MLB? Such as what date the teams salary is totaled for the luxury tax and then when it is distributed and to which teams and how much does MLB take before the "distribution process".
You mean O'Hearn could STILL make it back into the Royals' dugout?
Say it ain't so, Mr. L., say it ain't so.
Until he’s on another team, it’s always possible.

It is CRAZY how much she’s changed even from last week. I very much feel all the warnings about how fast it goes right now!
My Grandmother, who lived 106 yrs, used to say that the days drag on and on but the years just fly by. The older I get , the more I agree.

In a weird way, I kind of don’t care if they did him a solid. But yeah, still just bizarre all around. Happy new year to you too!

You and me both!

I don’t know of any one article. But there is a lot of good info in here - https://www.blessyouboys.com/2021/12/16/22831008/mlbs-revenue-sharing-problem-and-how-to-solve-it
Although it took much longer than I thought that it would Ryan O'Hearn is now a bench warmer for another MLB franchise.
