I thought the Marlins were a good fit for Cam Gallagher. Not much high level catching in their organization and a lot of young pitching. Cam has done a good job with our young pitchers, frames well, and I believe would be a league average hitter to slightly above league average with more playing time. Just my opinion.
I agree he’d have been a nice fit there, but also I think Stallings is a really nice get for them. I’ve been saying for a bit that Cam would end up having a nice year as a starter on a second division team at some point.
I also thought Whit Merrifield was a good fit in Seattle at the 2021 trade deadline. They then traded for Adam Frazier for 2 prospects this off-season. I wasn't a big fan of the return so glad we we not involved.
Pretty clear there seems to be a lot more potential fits in the NL than the AL. No matter what you do...you steer clear of the Rays and the Dodgers. They've proven they know what they are doing when it comes to being transactional.
I generally agree, but they both also have so much talent in their system that they do sometimes give up big time players. Think about how good they’d look with Yordan Alvarez in their lineup, but they gave him up for Josh freaking Fields.

I would like to see the Royals acquire Ronald Acuña and Juan Soto.
I’m also interested in Corbin Burnes, Walker Buehler and Zack Wheeler.
I'm not willing to give up too much tho.
