Eventually they need Dozier, Benintendi etc to contribute in a big way. In the meantime, how about that Nicky Lopez .742 OPS? Again, some luck there. He got a three bagger on a weakly hit chopper.... Nicky is actually a pretty valuable player with a league averagish OPS. Seems clear the plan is Whit back in RF and Nicky back to 2B when Adelberto returns.

I think you're probably right that it's the plan at this time, but also there's plenty of time for things to work themselves out. If they don't, that's a great problem.
They definitely need more from Dozier specifically, but I'm still bullish on him. Maybe that's my blinders of thinking he was in for a big year before, but I just like his approach at the plate and think he'll work his way out of this. Benintendi and Soler have shown signs, Soler more than Benny, but at least that's the case.
I agree Dozier will be fine. He's starting to barrel some balls. He's hit into some bad luck..... unless he hits it over the wall, its been right at someone. The whole offense can be much better, so they may be good and hopefully still lucky....
