What an exciting time to have the Big 3 knocking on the door, after having them seem like the Lost 2 (along with Seuly) just two years ago. Thank you JJ and the rest of your position player development team, and here is hoping that it will be successful, even with an adjustment period, at the big league level as well. If so, and if the pitcher development team can be equally successful in helping our exciting young starters and relievers take that last, most important step, to be successful in the big leagues, after the understandable adjustment period, then this could be the core of our next World Series champion, and, hopefully, more sustainable this time.

In terms of future articles, I would love one where you predict how the Witt/Lopez/Whit/Mondesi best fit at 3B/SS/2B/RF? Perhaps a comparison of their defensive metrics, as well as for which positions the defensive metrics are the most important? What would be our best combination of who plays SS, 3B, 2B, in terms of giving the Royals their very best overall defense at those 3 positions, but also perhaps considering that Whit would be better than Mondi in RF defense - but is that more important, when you consider your ideal defensive deployment for 3B/SS/2B/RF? Hopefully JJ and the analytics department can figure all this out - but no harm in you beating them to the punch :) .

Craig Brazell. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

I remain forever naive about big league promotions, always discounting the impact of contracts that cement certain veterans to roster spots and playing time. So, my question ... would you assume all 3 end up on the big league roster by the end of next year and/or which of the 3 would you predict start the year on the team?

I think this is awesome and I hope the Royals use them all correctly. I think personally Pratto should play first and Melendez and Perez split catching evenly while taking turns at DH. Let Santana go and have Whit, Lopez and Witt Jr round out the infield.
