You are right on the formula to win. The offense is what it is. It should become more consistent as the year progresses and the migration from Omaha will help as it arrives. However, until even that group finds comfort in the bigs, we would be dreaming thinking this group will dominate offensively.
As a cord cutter, I have only been able to watch highlights. Debating whether to VPN and MLB network or wait for Sinclair to get there act together. May just do MILB until they do. However if the Royals keep playing better baseball, I may have to do the former!
Yeah, I mean if nothing else, they're not going to score three a game, so that'll help. But it could be a slog while guys get going both as they arrive from the minors and just the guys in the big leagues already.
As for waiting for Sinclair to get their act together, I'll just say that if you want to watch them, I would make your own arrangements because I don't see that act getting together anytime soon.
In a subject totally off topic, what do you think the Royals plan is for Brady Singer. Seems like a total waste to have him buried in the bullpen. If they're not going to use him, it looks to me like a trip to Omaha would be better than him sitting all the time. Thanks for your take.
I’m cheating here because its already after a day game where they lose 1-0. But Woof……I’m just not seeing how the Royals are going to score enough runs this year. Flip side is….pitching is going to be much better than last year. Offensively….we are all hoping for Vinny and Pratto…..but assuming they are going to come up and not take lumps themselves might be fooling ourselves a bit.
Here's my semi-optimistic thought process. They currently have three guys hitting and Salvy pops two homers every few days to make a fourth on those days. I don't see that continuing. Whit isn't going to be a black hole forever. He's obviously in decline, but he hasn't turned into an absolute disaster I wouldn't think. Santana stinks, but either he figures it out or one of the young guys comes up and likely will be better. BWJ seems pretty likely to figure it out at some point.
Yeah, Benny and Nicky will probably come back to earth some, but it's not like they're hitting .545 or something while they're playing well. So there'll be runs. With this pitching and defense, they likely need a little less offense than we all thought. I said 79-83 two weeks ago and I'm sticking with it. I just think they might get there a little differently than I figured.

I’ve been asking around on him because it’s weird. I’m going to have something about that on Royals Review tomorrow.
Thanks. I'll be looking for that.
