I am wearing my Royals baseball hat today rather than my AZ Diamondbacks hat! The Royals have committed to having a winning team again! I remember the early days of the franchise and there was never any doubt Ewing Kauffman was going to try to build a winner! Then, 30 years of the wilderness until 2014-15! GO ROYALS!!!

Fantastic!! A+ for the Royals! The clock is still ticking, but they have a 7 year window now. This should make free agent recruiting much easier.

I love it when a plan comes together. Now they just have to go out and win some games. We'll see big improvements in the W/L columns this year and be in playoff contention next year with *at minimum* 5 more years of Bobby Witt to follow, barring a trade.

In other words, I think they're better set up than they were in 2013, which is kind of awesome to think about. Instead of a narrow 3-4 year window (where they benefited from some ridiculous luck to coincide with building a really good team), they have 5+ years to win 1 or more championships.

Roll out the barrels and let’s party like it’s, well, 1985 and 2015!!! Yay!!!!!

And bravo to BWJ. That kid and all these players have put in countless hours, months, years for this kind of reward. Congratulations to you and yours. Your world-class effort from catch in the yard, to little league m, all way to now isn’t lost on Royals fans.

It’s a good day to be a Royal!

Can’t stop at just one comment, but will try at the second….

Man, Great day to be a Royal! Actually sitting in the car and clicked on read the article and I’m still teared up about us having the first ownership since Ewing realize MO is the Show-Me state and reward us lifelong fans!!! Wow!

Great news for this old guy. I have to admit, I never thought this day would happen. Excited for the season more than ever!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it’s me being a homer. It I like Garcia more than Massey. I’d like to see a pickup at 3rd and move Garcia to 2nd. But I’m also ok with Farcia at 3rd if he can muscle up a bit

Yes! YES! YES!!!! So excited to see this news! I'm such a BWJ fan that my wife asked me last night if my team allegiance might follow him to another club. And living in Dallas, she mentioned the Rangers. I hated even thinking through that question, and now I don't have to! I feel like some combination of a kid on Christmas morning and a proud parent watching their child reach a big goal. Or something like that. It definitely feels awesome, I know that!

Awesome news. Knock on wood, but feels like gears clicking into place on a lot of Royals' fronts.
