Mondesi and Dozier are back shortly and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I agree re Soler, they need him to hit so they can peddle him later in the season. Santana is sub optimal at 1B but Pratto is regarded as being special there defensively and is finally hitting like a 1st round pick. Soler has a considerable record now of hitting better as a DH than as a RF and that's where he should be most of the time. I'm willing to give Dozier a few more weeks to get straightened out, but Gutierrez's defense at 3B is a big plus and he seems to be perhaps at least an MLB average hitter now. You mentioned him tearing up AAA and here are the actual stats. After a 4-5 day yesterday, Oliver's is hitting .406 with an 1.118 OPS. So yeah.... what are they waiting for? Btw any word on Jonathan Bowlen? He started Sunday and went all of 2/3 of an inning striking out two on 10 pitches and was pulled. Seems a little odd.
