The Guardian's winning streak is super frustrating. Obviously the Royals can't control what another team does, but it seems like Cleveland is on an insane hot/lucky streak that is bound to end sooner (hopefully) or later. I watched part of their Saturday game against the Angels, and they were clearly the worse team on the day, but managed to pull out yet another win due to (1) the Angels terrible baserunning and (2) terrible umpiring that missed a super obvious checked-strike three on J-Ram which should have ended the inning, but allowed him to hit a 2-run bomb only two pitches later. I just don't see how that kind of luck is sustainable, and I'm hoping it balances out here soon before the all-star break.

Today's game against Joe Ryan will be tough. I think I'll be happy with a 2-2 split in this series. Although, before the Ray's series I thought I'd be very happy taking 2 of 3, and yet I felt disappointed after they didn't get the sweep yesterday....

I do think it's interesting that there is a lot less talk about the Guardians playing over their heads than there is about the Royals. Maybe it's just proximity. Cleveland has multiple lineup spots manned with guys struggling, just like the Royals. They have David Fry hitting out of his mind. That can't last. They have Ben Lively putting up a 2.80 ERA with a 4.17 FIP and 3.65 xERA. Still solid, but he should theoretically regress some. The difference is that their bullpen is legitimately lockdown. I don't know. I do think they're better than the Royals, if I'm being objective, but I also think they're riding something pretty special right now too that should probably shift at some point.

“I’m trying to be brief, but”—thank you,David, for my holiday morning laugh! Now go enjoy the day. And, yes, this next three weeks will be very interesting. If they get through this stretch at .500 or better, watch out.

This was brief for me!

Melendez needs to find a new home, bring up Eaton (can hurt) or Waters who is better than Isbel (bad jumps then has to make plays look good, give Blano more playing time. Sooner or later the bottom of the order is going to catch up to them. Why as Duffy sent, when their worse releviers on the roster. Massey returns should be batting 2nd or 3rd.

Isbel gets bad jumps? This is a new one, I don't think anyone has ever said that before.

Maybe he meant he got a bad jump away from the ball he hit that smooshed his face.

I totally agree with you on Witt being sent. That was a no no. Like you said, look at the situation.

I thought Wacha had developed a slider before the Anaheim game? Wasn't the changeup his primary weapon for most of his career?

Did I say changeup? I obviously meant slider. Whoops.
