Well that was depressing David! We so need these young pitchers to amount to something to have any chance to get back to October baseball. What we've seen so far isn't much to get excited about! Singer has had probably the best start to his career than anyone, but what are the chances he can be a top echelon pitcher with basically only 2 pitches? Did the Royals think when they drafted him they could teach him a 3rd? If that's the case they are obviously failing. Love your work!

I wouldn't worry too much about a couple hiccups for Bubic or even Lynch and Kowar's rough debuts. As for Singer, he's always been good enough to get by with two pitches. And honestly in the big leagues, he's mostly good enough to be solid with just two pitches, but occasionally he does need that third. My issue with him might more be his attitude. And maybe that's not totally fair. Maybe he hadn't looked at the heat maps already like Bubic did before he spoke. Maybe he wouldn't think those were good pitches if you asked him today, but that sort of concerns me.

On the whole, though, I'm not especially worried yet. It just stinks for right now and especially this weekend.

do they they have the balls to drop Soler and Dozier down in the lineup, it's terrible knowing they they are both going to make outs 8 out of 10 times.

They have been dropped before when Mondesi was healthy for a week, but who is going ahead of them? Is it Kelvin Gutierrez and his 68 wRC+? Or maybe Nicky Lopez or Michael A. Taylor both at 79? Sure, those are all better than Soler and Dozier, but also terrible. The issue isn’t that Soler and Dozier are hitting 5th and 6th. It’s that no matter who is hitting there shouldn’t be because they don’t have anyone to hit past 4.

“My recommendation is to weather this storm and hope the sudden turnaround back to success happens soon because you know it’ll happen based on this team’s history.”

This statement makes me sad. It’s not entertaining watching a streaky team. It also feels like zero adjustments are being made, same approach to hitting and pitching. Sure, Soler and Dozier have had 3 hit games recently but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
